Meet Emma
the Aftercare Dog
Emma (she/her) is a registered emotional support animal who has been giving rope aftercare since being rescued by Cait & Griffin on 1/6/21. She has always had a talent for intuitively knowing when rope scenes are finished, and will happily wiggle her butt over to give the participants kisses.
About Emma:
She is a ~5-year-old pitbull mix who was found abandoned by the side of the highway down in South Carolina in late December 2020. Due to how many stray dogs and kill shelters are present down south, Emma was sent up to Maine, where she would hopefully have a higher chance of being adopted rather than put down. Cait & Griffin loved her instantly and she felt the same; they took her home the same night they met her.
Emma is very intelligent, cuddly, playful, loyal, and attention- and food-motivated, and she loves mingling with humans at rope events! If you offer her your pizza crust, she'll be your new best friend. She has undergone formal obedience training and is a registered emotional support animal. She will gladly cuddle you through a panic attack and lick away your tears. When she goes with Cait & Griffin to cons, she is on her best behavior, heeling by their sides down the hallways and in the elevator - a perfect representative of Box Tie Studio who takes her job seriously!
