Meet Beck
a.k.a. Bratty_Beck
Beck (she/they) has been active in the kink scene for the past five years and started her rope journey by meeting the Box Tie crowd about three years ago. She quickly became passionate about shibari. For the past three years, Beck has strived to learn and grow as her passion for rope continues to develop.
Beck is a queer 28-year-old living and working in southern Maine. Growing up in Massachusetts and moving to Maine in 2016 has opened a number of doors for them. They are happily polyamorous with their nesting partner Grace (ragdollbaby) and officially joined the Box Tie rope family in 2023.
Beck has been active in the southern Maine rope scene since 2022. From the first time she was tied, she was hooked on the connection and expression shibari can bring. Spending her first few months bottoming for rope, Beck became intrigued by the safety and mechanical side of the knot. After spending some time studying the art of rigging, Beck fell in love with being on both sides of the rope.
With an equal love for floor rope, partials, and suspension, she values the connection rope can bring. The exciting challenges that rope can present, the way the body moves, and the way rope can feel intimate and grounding are just some of the reasons Beck’s passion continues.
Beck draws from multiple vanilla experiences to better inform her kink practices: her experience as a Certified Residential Medication Aide as well as multiple years in medical settings helps her be prepared for any emergency situations that may arise. Her experience with linguistics helps her in ensuring communication is smooth and negotiations are thorough. Beck's expertise in communication provides clear understandings within her kink practices and relationships.
Along with the other leaders of Box Tie Studio, Beck has voluntarily adopted the Kink Education Code of Conduct and is committed to following it. If you believe Beck has violated this code, please let them know or inform another Box Tie leader.
Although she is newer to the rope scene, Beck has been demo bottoming for Box Tie Studio’s classes since the studio opened in 2023. She has assisted with a variety of classes and is committed to growth within her rope journey. Other events that Beck has attended include:
